I eat a LOT of food.
And I’m making pretty much all of it from scratch right now. It’s getting boring.
Preparing food is like earning money; it takes a long time to do, and then you eat it and it’s gone. And sure, it was good while you were eating it, and there was the glow of satisfaction from making something yourself, but ultimately, wouldn’t it be awesome to have a personal chef?
I need to plan better. Stock up on homemade stews in the freezer. Roast veggies and store them in the fridge for easy eating/snacking. Pre-cook protein for hunger emergencies (and remember to tuck said protein in handbag so as to not get caught out).
The planning is a work in progress, but here are some helpful links if you want to improve your cooking efficiency (also check out Melissa Joulwan’s cooking WODs in Well Fed – she’s a demon at vegetable prep).

Most helpful of all? Buy a food processor. It’s on my Christmas wishlist.
